Eastwood Sermon Series - 1 Peter
1 Peter speaks to our times in particularly poignant ways.
The believers whom Peter wrote to were a minority persecuted for their faith, described as exiles and foreigners in this world.
Peter reminds them that they are precious and chosen by God, who secured their inheritance in a heavenly country.
As displaced people who do not fit into this world, how are they to live?
Christians who are increasingly ridiculed and marginalised for their faith today can identify with these concerns.
We need to hear and take to our heart urgently today, the message of gospel hope and strengthening grace centred in the resurrection of Jesus Christ through whom we who believe are born again to a living hope.
